Dennis Abrahams, born and raised in Treasure Beach community. After leaving school, fishing was my passion. I have been a director for Breds for the past 10 years. I work with fishermen and other projects and activties. My greatest achievement is my family. My hobby is spending time with children. I love my community with a passion and so volunteering with Breds is my way of giving back.
Tamesha Dyght, graduate of Sandy Bank Primary, Hampton School and Northern Caribbean University. I'm in charge of Special Events I.e. The Triathlon and Hook n Line Fishing Tournament. I have a strong passion for working with the fishermen. My hobbies are playing scrabble, domino and socializing. My greatest achievements -obtaining my degree, having my daughter and being able to assist the community in my capacity as a director-.
Zane Ebanks has a first degree in Education and Teachers' Diploma and Certificate in Primary Education. Was one of the first Master Teachers appointed in Jamaica. Was a student of Sandy Bank Primary School, became a class teacher there and at present, is the Principal. As a Director of Breds, my role is centered around education. As an educator, I feel privileged to be associated with this organization; one which seeks to assist with the advancement of literacy and numeracy in Treasure Beach and the wider community.
Jason Henzell was born in Mandeville, Jamaica and educated in Jamaica, the United States and Grand Cayman. After graduation, he worked with the Hyatt Hotel for 3 years and was the youngest front desk manager within the Hyatt Chain of hotels. On his return to Jamaica, he worked for the Hart group of Companies managing Finance Handlers and Lion Finance, which later merged with Pan Caribbean making Jason the youngest branch manager in Jamaica at that time. In 1995, his desire to be an entrepenuer was actualized by joining mother Sally in Treasure Beach to expand and reposition Jakes as a boutique hotel. He co founded Breds in 1998 to encourage a pro active community development. He is the president of Island Outpost and Chairman of Jakes Hotel Villas and Spa.
His hobbies are travelling, fishing, reading and hiking. His greatest achievements to date are getting married, having his two children, establishing and promoting Jakes and Breds. He is very passionate about community development and growing new projects and brands.
Laura Henzell, Kingston born and raised, Laura Henzell has been working with Breds since she transplanted herself from Kingston over five years ago to be with her husband and raise a family in the cool mountains of St. Elizabeth. She is passionate about child welfare and education initiatives focusing her energies at Breds to the benefit of the schools and children in the area. She also holds a Masters degree in Nonprofit PR as well as a BSc. in Mass Communication and as such works on creating much of the organization's communication collateral and developing fundraising initiatives. In addition to her work at Breds, Laura is the director of Driftwood Spa at Jake's and mother of two.
O'neil James is a graduate from Sandy Bank Primary and Newell Comprehensive High School and lives in Treasure Beach. O'neil is a carpenter by profession and now operates independently as a Tour Operator primarily from Jake's Hotel, Villa's and Spa. O'neil works across all programmes and initiatives at Breds with key operational responsibilities for the Treasure Beach Emergency Response Unit. Hobbies are playing cricket and dominoes. O'neils vision is for Breds to have a fully functional Sports Park.
Norma Moxam has a Master's degree in Administration, a First degree in Supervision and Teachers Diploma and Certificate in Primary Education. Norma was the Principal of Sandy Bank Primary School and presently is a lecturer at the International University of the Caribbean. Norma is Vice Chair of Breds and says “she feels it a pleasure to be a part of this organization where her mission is to build a better community”. Norma's hobbies are reading and being with friends.
Tanya Parchment-Brown Past student of Sandy Bank Primary School, Black River High School and Knox Community College. Achievements to date: Former Head Girl at Black River High, Financial Controller at Jakes Holdings Ltd, Having a wonderful family. My role at Breds is serving in the capacity of Company Secretary and The Accountant. It gives me great pleasure to be a part of this organisation as am able to give back to my community in a meaningful way. My hobbies are spending quality time with my family, dancing, socializing and motor sports.
